We’ll provide a handout on how to write grants and some links for where to research granting agencies.

Here's some information about Sonja Embree.

Sonja holds a BA in Anthropology & Women's Studies and a Master's and PhD in Humanistic Psychology.  Her work experience includes teaching, scholarly publishing, research, grant writing, staff development, and operations management in higher education.  In her spare time, Sonja is an avid yogini and also likes to attend cultural events centred around music, theatre, film and spirituality.  Sonja is honoured to be a part of the CACV, joining as board Secretary in July 2011.  While assisting with board duties and various committee activities, Sonja is in return learning much about community arts, including the capacity for arts to enhance individual lives and community engagement, the emerging field of eco-arts, and the important healing role of community arts in Vancouver's downtown east side.
